New Project!

Hello all! Sorry for not posting lately. I was away on Monday, and yesterday slipped past me. I'd like to announce a new project I'm working on.
You may know about Nintendo's Game & Watch, but did you know there exists more LCD handheld games by/involved with Nintendo? In the early 90s, the watch company Nelsonic released many game watches (known as WWGs in the MAME community). There were a few Nintendo watches made, including Star Fox, Zelda, Super Mario 1-4, and Super Mario Racing.
MAME has successfully emulated the Star Fox watch, and it will go out for downloads with the next MAME update, MAME 0.198.
My friend and I are collecting other LCD games to emulate and preserve.

If anyone has any information pertaining to emulation of this specific kind of hardware, please comment! I'll be posting more frequently, and with more information by mid-June, when school is wrapped up.

May 7, 2018

Greetings! Last week I found a bar top arcade of the black and white Space Fever on eBay. According to the Undumped Wiki, neither versions of Space Fever are dumped, with the black and white version being the rarest.

The black and white Space Fever is listed at around $2,000 which is too much for me, personally (even if I wasn't still at school, $2,000 is way too pricey). You can donate to the Dumping Union, but it's highly unlikely that your contribution will go toward this specific arcade. I'll start a fundraiser in the coming weeks - in the meantime, this website really needs to grow!

Welcome!

Welcome to my blog! My name is Skylar, and I'm a huge fan of Nintendo. I collect Nintendo games and merchandise, old and new, rare and common. This blog will serve as a catalog and a news source.

My main goal as of now is to preserve old Nintendo arcades from the 1970s. These arcade games used 16mm film slides to project interactive movies, like the original Wild Gunman. Other games used Electronic Video Recording tapes to play animations, such as EVR Race.

For more information on the status of this project so far, check out this article the folks over at Video Preservation Collective made. In it, links to some of my threads on various forums can be accessed.

I'll be making posts sporadically during weekdays, with guaranteed posts on Mondays.

Thanks,
Skylar
